This week I sent a few packages of handmade things out to places around the world. Also, I bought myself a new fancy sketchbook and we've been reading and watching a whole lot of Adventure Time.
I've been listening to Austra while I've been working this week. If you haven't heard them and you're into electronica, you might like to give them a listen. This album is Feel It BreakI highly recommend it.
This is one of the little bees I sent off this week. I love how they look when I flip them right side out after stitching them up. It's like meeting them for the first time and seeing what their little personality is going to be like :)
The kids picked a bunch of the daffodils that were in the garden. We're enjoying them very much.
I made this tomato, cucumber, avocado and cilantro salad last week. It was very delicious.
The deer are coming to visit us almost every morning and evening these days!
And I caught a wild turkey in the garden a couple of days ago. They totally crack me up.
Have a great Friday!

There is so much to love about this post... for now, I will share that I gasped when I saw your OWL VASE! Gah! I'm off to check out Austra, thank you! xx
ReplyDeletePleasure :) I hope you like them.
DeleteThe owl mug was a gift from some neighbours that moved away. They gave me a set of two. The mother of the family said that her kids freaked out when they saw them, saying that she had to buy them for me because I love owls. Isn't that so sweet? ♥
Salad looks yummie, but what made me awww was the sight of the deer, how beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely try the salad :)
DeleteI know right? I feel so lucky that the deer come by so often. They're wonderful.
You truly live in a magical forest! I love the deer and wild turkey photos.
ReplyDeleteAlso you've been making really yummy stuff!
I need to send you a proper email. This week has been crazy and I have been dragging myself around. No energy!
Love, Sara
Aw, I hope you got some extra rest this weekend!
DeleteI feel so lucky to live in the forest :)
You should give that salad a try. It's really good.

Um, deer, daffodils, and adventure time... sounds like a relaxation recipe :) Enjoy that bath!

Thank you, Shell :) I didn't get to have a bath because we're having trouble with our pipes. But I did get a chance to do some relaxing which was much needed. ♥
DeleteOh I wish I could see a deer in my garden too. I don't feel the same about the wild turkey though. They're really scary and they attack people!
ReplyDeleteAnyway...that owl mug is just too cute!
